I'm fascinated by the domestication of animals and how innate a dog's desire is to integrate and imitate... of course this is an ode to Sidney Nolan but I'm still playing with the same idea.
These works take a great deal of planning, I work countless hours simplify iconic images, contextualising, reworking and then compiling into large paintings using semi-gloss acrylic paint, markers and charcoal.
I stretch my works on handmade, premium grade timber after completion, so the image wraps around the edges making them great for both framed or unframed.
